What a joy it is to share with you the great things that are happening at First Baptist Church. We are on a journey together as a church in transition. One thing you will notice right away about us is that we are a congregation which is "younger" than we might appear from the outside. FBC Nampa was organized on April 8, 1892 with the help of 19 members. Our current church building was built in 1906 and completely remodeled in 1939-40. So if you "judge a book by its cover" we look much older than we really are!

In truth our eyes are focused not on the past, but on the future. God has given us new life and revealed to us a new vision of outreach. By the power of the Holy Spirit we desire to see lives transformed, to reach the unsaved and bring those who are dechurched back home again.

Our goal is to do ministry in a new way - one that shows Jesus to those beyond our walls. We choose to do this by serving the community of Nampa through projects and ministries which positively impact our neighborhood for Christ.

What is First Baptist Church?

It is a fellowship of people who recognize themselves as sinners - those who have experienced God’s amazing forgiveness and grace. We are believers who make it our goal to grow up in Christ and we would be overjoyed to have you grow with us.

We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. 2 Cor 5:20
