Come as You Are: This Bible study offers a variety of different studies of varying lengths in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. The group starts each morning with a simple prayer; then move on by reading a passage from the Bible, an article or watching a video lesson. This is followed up with a group discussion and a time to share your prayer needs. The group is comprised mostly of college age young adults, but all ages are welcome. The group invites you to just "Come as You Are".
Watermarked: Why the strange name? Well, a watermark is a permanent mark of ownership that can only be seen in the light. Our desire as a class is to shine the light of Christ so that others can see His mark of ownership upon us.
Watermarked is one of the newest Sunday School classes in the church. It is for young and middle aged adults. Our members are both married and single. We use an interactive, topical format that is designed to help us understand and apply the Bible to our lives.
Young and Not So Young (YANSY): Each week this class studies the scriptures as outlined through Judson Bible Journeys for Adults. The teacher gives background explanations and guides conversation of what the scripture says and how it applies to us today. This class enjoys open discussions in a relaxed environment. There is much laughter, but also serious contemplation of what God's word shows us for our daily living.
Friendship Class: Each week this class studies the word of God as presented through the series outlined by Dr. Alan B. Stringfellow study guide. The teacher of this class presents in a lecture style and opens for discussion at the end of each class. The teacher is a retired pastor and shares over 35 years of in-depth knowledge of the Bible. This class just completed the study of Through the Bible in a Year (which took two and a half years). This class is currently undertaking a study entitled Great Characters of the Bible.
